Without any question Rango was the best cartoon of the year and maybe one of the best movies period. Depp reunited with the Director of the first 3 Pirates films as a lovable but somewhat crazy lizard? Well lets face it, that just sounds awesome. With amazing video quality and standout sound, this is also a great Blu-Ray release. NC

After a less then fantastic release of Goldeneye not that long ago, the powers that be have decided it would be a great idea to relaunch the cult favorite game Goldeneye yet again. This time however, it looks like maybe they’ve done it right. NC

The time has come for excitement over what will be the biggest superhero movie of our time. The trailer leaked online not long ago, and now we have a poster. The site has launched as well, and Mr Stark, RDJ stated on the Captain America red carpet the other night that he only had a few days of shooting left… Avengers assemble… Next year. NC

Well it’s here, those European techies and music lovers have been ranting about this service for some time, and now that’s it’s here it’s time for the US of A to decide if it was worth the wait. We break down the services and talk a little about the iPhone and Android app’s after the jump.

With about 15 million songs it looks a lot like the anti-iTunes at first glance with a darker appearance and style then the Apple service. This service is being hailed by some as what may do in other services like iTunes or Pandora. While we’re not sure about all that, it doesn’t fail to impress.

Free for up to 10 hours a month, $5 for Premium and $10 for the Unlimited service which is really the one you’ll be wanting. $5 will get you unlimited computer listening, but for mobile services, such as the iPhone or Android app, you’re going to have to spring for that $10 a month plan. Your $10 will also get you temporary downloads for listening offline and higher end sound quality.

Early reports seem to lean in favor of the iPhone app over the Droid app, saying it runs, looks and seems more polished. In any case, if music is your love and you’re not set on owning every album you love, streaming from this digital jukebox may just be the way of the future. NC

Recently Jef sat down and talked with Lauren about where she’s been, and where she’s going…

Jef: Hey Lauren, thanks so much, sorry it took so long for us to get this going.

LL: It’s ok, we are talking now.

Jef: So you’re music is connecting with people, I mean I watch as people just keep saying how much you’re music has impacted their life, why do you think that people are forming such a connection with you?

LL: Thanks that’s really a compliment. I write about stuff that everybody can relate to, I always listen to songs and think the lyrics don’t have as much meaning anymore. And I try my best to bring life to songs. I want to reach right out to someone and through my music say I know what you’re going through, whether it’s a good or bad day, it’s nice to know your not alone.

Jef: So how did you get your start, has music always been a love of yours….

LL: Yes music has alway been my love, I’ve always wanted to do music in some form or another. I was involved in music all through High School and I went to Berklee Online for Music Business and songwriting. I kinda just dove in, even if I had no idea what I was doing. I went to the studio and recorded my first three songs late 2009, while working with two cover bands and a music booking company to pay for the project. I just tried to surround myself in it all.

Jef: Is that going well? Finding someone to back your music and moving forward?

LL: It’s going really well, I got my backing band all lined up. I’m really excited, we really fit well together! We’re finally going out playing!

Jef: So what are you working on these days? You’re gaining the quite the following, you’re even doing modeling it seems these days…

LL: Well I’m going to start playing out with the full band, working on the album (which we are going to be playing those songs at the shows!) haha and yeah I’ve been doing modeling… It’s always something I loved doing on the side since I was younger. I admit I probably like the camera to much.

Jef: So does the current project have a name? Can we look forward to an album soon?

LL: Still trying to pick which song should be the single for next album. So as soon as I deside the album title will be released. I’ve been working on an album for almost a year now and I can’t wait to let every one hear it But I’m also taking my time because I want to make sure every song is a perfect fit for the album.
