Half-Life: Escape from City 17

Half-Life still has a huge place in classic FPS gaming, and a fan base that two years ago brought forth a short film from The Purchase Brothers called “Escape From City 17″. After you jump you can find the first part of their homemade film, and the second which we’ve had to wait about two years for.

Not bad for a budget of about $250. NC

The time has come for excitement over what will be the biggest superhero movie of our time. The trailer leaked online not long ago, and now we have a poster. The site has launched as well, and Mr Stark, RDJ stated on the Captain America red carpet the other night that he only had a few days of shooting left… Avengers assemble… Next year. NC

Transformers: Beast Wars The Complete Series Box Set

Shout! has released the complete series of the 90′s hit Transformers TV show Beast Wars on DVD. As of now it doesn’t look like there are any plans for a Blu-Ray release, so if you’re a Transformers fan and still hyped up from the third film in the live movie franchise, this is just what you need. The Beast Wars cartoon was followed with the less successful Beast Machines, which again tried to change everything with a dramatic new take on the franchise.

Beast Wars took place thousands of year after the original show in the 80′s, on a prehistoric earth and featured descendants of the first transformers. It was known for being a break through in CGI and cartooning. Transformers Beast Wars box set is available only through Shout! Factories website. $49.99. NC

Tron/Tron Legacy Blu-Ray

It’s finally hit store shelves, and it’s about time. Both Tron (marked Tron classic on the case) and Tron Legacy hit stores on Blu-Ray today and they’ve never looked better. While the early 80′s Tron has lost some of it’s glory through the last 3 decades, the fact remains it was and is a incredibly original story and is a classic we’ve been waiting on.

Tron Legacy looks even more stunning in HD then it did on the silver screen. Both are available today individually or together in a limited run $70 5 disc set that comes with a disc shaped case that lights up. Of course then you have to try and get that dang disc to sit on your shelf.

Both/all sets come with a ton of features and mini documentaries and with a digital version for your mobile device of choice. $20-70. NC
