If you’re one of the thousands upset by Facebook’s rather liberal use of your personal info, this September you’ll have a Facebook like social networking alternative that claims to put the sharing of your information back into your hands. While Diaspora is taking aim at Facebook, Facebook’s founder himself, Mark Zuckerberg donated to the project.

Diaspora is gaining widespread support,  and recently through its blog, they announced that on September 15th the new social networking site will go live. The promise being that Diaspora will provide security and clear, contextual sharing. The real question will be, how fast will users get on board. Facebook over took the online monster of its time Myspace, so is Diaspora the next big thing? Come this September, you can join and decide for yourself. JoinDisporaNC
