Not long ago The Engineer was sent over to us for review by our friends at Archaia Press. Read on for the NC Review!
Sadly among the dozens of things going on around here it took me awhile to find the time to read it, (If you can believe it, I was apologizing to Tom Brevoort the other day for just reading Siege #2 last week!). But as soon as I started this book I immediately regretted waiting so long to make time for it.
The Engineer is one of those odd titles that’s somehow keeps you of balance while being entertaining far more then you expected. When I started reading the art is what kept me going, but after just a few pages I was caught up in this oddly amazing Sci-Fi quest that is nothing short of spectacular. The story is an mix of adventure, Sci-Fi, and that classic retro comic feel that makes you want more only moments after completing the story.
With the first TPB Volume already out and costing only $9.95 there’s no reason not to add this to your collection. (Preview) $9.95. Necessary. NC

“An ancient sentient entity is feasting on the very fabric of space and time. Only one man can stop it: The Engineer.
Utilizing a colossal pipe organ that enables pan-dimensional travel, The Engineer pursues the lost components of The Konstrukt, an archaic mechanism that imbues whoever possesses it with the ability to manipulate reality itself. The Engineer endeavors to restore The Konstrukt, using it to defeat the creature and undo the incalculable damage already done.”
