Hey gang, not long ago I met a cool kid named Ryan who has a nice blog I’ve been checking out from time to time. I told Ryan we were going to be launching a Spotlight feature and asked him if he would stop by and give our readers a look at what he’s up too over there. Without further delay, I’ll pass it off to him!

Yo. My name’s Ryan, and for the next few minutes, I’d like your full attention. If you can give me that, I promise I’ll work in some really cool stuff after a little intro. If not, skip the intro and I’ll give it to you anyway.

Chances are, you’re probably wondering why you’re reading about some random guy when you could be reading about all things cool. Jef told me a little while ago that he would like to have me help kick off the new “Spotlights” feature of NC – where you get a little glimpse of what some fellow bloggers do on their own sites.

Basically, RyboMedia is a blog about all things tech, geeky, or internet related. I write about awesome internet companies, design tips, blogging tricks, web conferences I have attended, and even some controversial pieces. Oh, and I do occasional giveaways. How’s that for concise?

Now to the really cool stuff. Right now, as college classes are in full swing, time is limited. However, there are two main things that have about 90% of my attention right now. I think they’re really cool (of course I do, I made them). Hopefully you do to.

First, The Graff Blog. You would never guess it from looking at me, but I love graffiti. Love it. Seriously, I can’t get enough brightly colored trains. I’m not exactly sure why, but mention the name COPE2, Dondi, or SEEN and I drift off quicker than JD from Scrubs. The Graff Blog is my newest website – solely devoted to bringing you awesome graffiti pictures every few days. I try to keep the standards high, using only the best looking pieces I can find from scouring the internet daily.

To switch gears completely, for the past 6 months I have been consumed with something called Joupes. After a pretty nasty breakup in April, I told a good friend of mine that I needed an awesome web project to distract me. His answer – “You think it up, I’ll program it”. That night, Joupes was born (and no, it’s not our gay baby like it sounds). Joupes is basically online long term and short term task management that allows SMS interaction. Big words, simple idea. Joupes helps you get stuff done. It tracks your long term life goals and day to day tasks, sending you customized text-message reminders. You can add tasks through SMS, embed your public goals into a blog, etc. It’s cool. Sorry for the shameless advertisement, Jef, but I’m going for it anyway. If you want to check Joupes out firsthand, go ahead and request an invitation and I’ll personally send it to you. If you want to read more about our newest feature releases and plans, check out the blog.

I think I’m about out of space, and I do apologize if I rambled. Even as a semi-frequent blogger, I tend to do that far too often. Either way, hope this helps kick off the spotlights! I’ve been a Necessary Cool reader for sometime now (in fact a few months back a friend wrote a post on NC) and I’m honored that Jef asked me to write something as well.

Keep up the great work guys, and here’s a hearty “so long!” from a graffiti-crazed, task organizing, geeky lil white boy!

Check out more from Ryan at RyboMedia
