Well it seems these day that Twitter is a good place to watch for updates on what”s happening with upcoming franchises. Creator of Deadpool, as well as Cable and others, Rob Liefeld, was very chatty last night via Twitter about his meeting with Lauren Schuler Donner (you  may remember she had quite a bit to do with the prier X-Films) about the upcoming Deadpool film staring Ryan Reynolds. The Twitter fun began when Rob sent out a simple Tweet to his followers saying simply, “Walking into Deadpool movie meeting!!! Yowza!”. Yowza is right, what followed was info that up until now has only been heard from Ryan and wasn’t confirmed by anyone creating the film. Ready? Ok.

[#1] “Deadpool movie- YES! Ryan Reynolds is on board!!!”

So there you have it. Ryan is indeed confirmed to reprise the role of Wade Wilson/Deadpool in the upcoming Deadpool solo film. For fans of the Merc with a Mouth, this is great news. Ever since the famous line “I look like a cross between Ryan Reynolds and a Sharpei” fans have thought it was fate that Ryan would one day play Wade on the big screen. And now at last, we know it’s going to happen.

[#2] “Deadpool movie checklist- DP in costume-check! Breaking 4th wall-check! Loads of killing-double check!”

Again, great news, a Deadpool costume design confirmed from the creator (if it is creator approved we can look forward to lots of pouches! Score!) Breaking the 4th wall? Awesome! DP in full force! Lots of action? Again I say awesome!

So there you have. The creator of Deadpool likes where the team is heading, this means yet again we here at NecessaryCool were right when we told people not to fear, that this would be a film fans would like.

And as an added bonus Rob dropped the bomb that we may indeed see fan favorite Cable in upcoming X-Films!
